Despite common misperceptions, Chambers are not banks or government organizations and do not receive funding from the government, or the county. They also are not the Better Business Bureau (although lot’s of people think we are). A chamber of commerce is a membership organization that advocates on behalf of local businesses. It is backed by a board that is comprised of business people from the local community. The chamber is a resource, advocate, and connector for business.

Any business or person who believes that a vibrant business community is the foundation of a strong place in which to work and live can join our Chamber.
