Mr. Vic Lemieux spearheaded the first festival with the hopes it would bring people out and celebrate after a long winter. His vision of a spring celebration has continued with the festival celebrating its 36th year this April.
On scenic downtown Gore Street and at other venues in Perth, you’ll discover fantastic shops, vendors offering award-winning maple products, displays, stage entertainment, lots of kids’ activities and more.
This annual event is hosted by the Perth & District Chamber of Commerce and touts the fact Lanark County is the maple syrup capital of Ontario. The funds raised from the festival help keep the festival going as well as other chamber initiatives.
Testimonial
“My wife and I have been attending the Festival of the Maples for several years. We attend many festivals in various towns across Ontario each year, but we always make sure to make time to come to Perth each year for the Festival of the Maples. It is, in our experience, the best small town festival in Ontario.”
