The tale of a Newfoundland family far from home and out of their depth.
“Leaving Home” is the quintessential Canadian tale of Newfounder Jacob Mercer and his family, transplanted to Toronto. The story takes place in the 1950’s, 15 years after the big move.
It examines their lives and loves, their conflicts and loyalties as they sail the sometimes tranquil but often-stormy seas of family relationships.
