Josh’s connection to Perth isn’t just professional—it’s personal. Originally from the Ottawa area, he and his wife Kara returned to Eastern Ontario with a clear goal: to raise their family in a community that reflects the values they grew up with. Like many young families, they sought a balance between career opportunities and quality of life, ultimately settling in Beckwith while becoming deeply connected to Perth.

In addition to private development, Aplin Martin has delivered critical municipal infrastructure projects in Perth, including the recent Craig Street reconstruction and future Thomas Avenue, Stewart Street and Robinson Street reconstructions. Working closely with Town staff, Council, and the public, Josh and his team led the design and supported construction of the project, which addressed aging infrastructure and modernized the corridor.

The project included replacing outdated watermains and combined sewers, introducing separated storm and sanitary systems, and incorporating a new multi-use pathway for cyclists and pedestrians to share. These upgrades not only improve long-term reliability but also reduce strain on the wastewater treatment system—delivering lasting value to the municipality and its residents.

Beyond large-scale projects, Aplin Martin is also a resource for local businesses and homeowners. Whether it’s supporting a new commercial development, expanding an existing business, or assisting a homeowner with a garden suite or property improvements, the team provides hands-on guidance to navigate technical requirements and approvals.
