Chamber is Springing Ahead with New Technology!
The Town of Perth, in partnership with the Perth & District Chamber of Commerce and the Perth Business Improvement Area has received a grant from the Eastern Ontario Development Fund through Valley Heartland Community Futures Development Corporation. The grant is to purchase a Through Glass Touch Screen Window Unit, which will allow visitors and local residents to our downtown core the ability to browse the Chamber’s web site business and tourism directory. It is our hope that this will help to enhance the visitor experience for Perth & District.
The unit, which will be located in the front window of Shadowfax located at 67 Foster Street, Perth, will enable the public to simply touch the outside of the window and browse the Chamber’s web site to access. Only our members will be on the site and therefore the public will be able to link to your site as well. We hope that this will bring an added value to the visitors coming to the area as well as our membership.
The unit should be fully operable by early Spring. We are happy to announce that Ed Fortin, Fortin Consulting has been contracted to install and maintain the unit and that the unit will be located
What is the Corporate Image Committee?
The Corporate Image committee was created to oversee the image and branding of the Chamber. In 2009, the chamber had a new logo designed and has since created new stationary, signage and golf shirts. Staff and summer students represented the chamber with their new shirts last summer and at chamber events. Our new logo and branding is utilized on advertising.
The Corporate Image committee has been instrumental in the creation and overseeing of the new chamber website.
