The Perth & District Chamber of Commerce in partnership with VDMA Training & Consultant Inc., and Lidbetter Solutions would like to invite you to our
“Developing Your Business Skills Seminar”
Tuesday October 16, 2012
Presenter Roy van der Mull, founder of VDMA Training & Consultant Inc. will give us insight into Time Management and Presentation Skills. Kirk Lidbetter, owner of Lidbetter Solutions will guide us through Audio Visual Applications, how to use visual and audio presentation equipment, as well as learn what a presentation friendly environment is. The evening will assist you in developing your personal business skills and help you feel confident presenting to others.

Agenda
5:30 – 6:00 pm: Opportunity to network with fellow Chamber Members.
6:00 – 6:20 pm: Roy will inform us on how to manage your time effectively.
6:20 – 6:30 pm: Review of the important things you need to know when presenting to others,
(in a group environment or one on one).
6:30 – 6:40 pm: Round Table Discussion with the opportunity to ask Roy questions.
6:40 – 7:10 pm: Audio Video Presentation by Kirk. (AV Applications, use of equipment, environment)
7:10 – 7:30 pm: Hands on opportunity to use the equipment as well as ask Kirk questions.
7:30 – 8:00 pm: Networking with other Members, Roy and Kirk.

Kirk Lidbetter
Audio Video (AV) Background: Kirk was originally a high school teacher and the AV go to guy for his school.
AV peaked his interest, so he enrolled in post graduate studies in educational technology at Sir George Williams University. He then made the big leap to the business world and has held various sales and management positions in the visual communications field until starting Lidbetter Solutions in 2004. Lidbetter Solutions represents some of the leading international AV and Digital Signage manufacturers.

Roy van der Mull
Roy van der Mull is founder of VDMA Training and Consulting Inc., a learning organization that assists you and your company to be more productive, efficient and profitable in your work and private life. As an adult educator and business coach, he has 30 years experience in facilitation and training, financial management, business ownership and human resources.
Working with business owners and executives, Roy discovered that his clients were unable to adequately cope with the emotional strain and stress of starting, operating and maintaining their businesses. Using these experiences and observations, he created the Complete Internal Expertise Model, (CIEM)TM, a body-mind process designed to improve communication, critical thinking, and collaborative behaviours, and enhance transformational and leadership skills. He has assisted over 700 individuals and businesses in their quest to make an economic impact on their community.
Roy is a certified EQ Coach, a method based on Emotional Intelligence in the workplace. He also holds certification from the Lumen Institute to instruct the Christopher Leadership Program, is a certified adult educator through the University of St. Xavier and is a competent communicator and leader with Toastmasters International.
