Join us at Foley Mountain Conservation Area in July for Family Nature Programs Thursdays & Saturdays from 10-11:30 a.m.

The Secret Life of Trees and Plants

From cures for cholera to building watertight canoes; the trees of Foley Mountain are full of secret medicinal and survival properties.  Through an interactive hike and game, come and discover their secrets! (meet at the campground) Foley Mountain Westport.

A Bug’s Life

Put on your detective’s hat and investigate some incredible insects.  Hear all about what makes insects what they are and see what critters you can find!

Tree Tales

Through an interactive walk and game come and discover the secrets behind the smallest ferns and the myseteries of the biggest pine trees at Foley Mountain. (Meet and the group campground).

Nature Scavenger Hunt

This is a wildlife scavenger hunt! Using only your senses and a set of clues, it is up to you to prove that wildlife exists in Foley Mountain.

Learn how to use a compass to set different bearings and guide yourself 1.5 km through the woods! (meet at group campground)

Rockin’ Reptiles and Awesome Amphibians

Join us for some hands-on activities to investigate the wonderful world of reptiles and amphibians! Get a chance to meet a live black rat snake and stinkpot turtle for an up-close look at these amazing animals.

Children must be accompanied by an adult for all programs.

Programs are FREE with Park Day pass.

Meet at the Interpretive Centre unless otherwise specified.
