presents
“The Voice of the Turtle” by John van Druten.
August 6 – 29, 2010.
Perth Studio Theatre 63 Gore St. E., Perth, On.
The Voice of the Turtle, the 9th-longest running play in Broadway history, later became a film starring Eleanor Parker, Eve Arden and a future U.S. President. This charming story of a small town girl finding romance in the big city during the Second World War captures the feel of the era. Penned by the author of the play that inspired the hit musical, Cabaret, The Voice of the Turtle realistically portrays the rapidly changing roles of women during the 1940s, and truly stands the test of time.
